Parts you’ll need to make a GoPro Underwater Video Platform:

  • 1″ Pipe and fittings
  • 2′ of 1″ diameter pipe
  • 2 elbows, 1″ (slip) x 1/2″ (threaded, female)
  • 2 elbows, 1″ (slip) x 1″ (slip) x 1/2″ (threaded, female)
  • 1″ Rigid Conduit Body(T-Style)
  • 1/2″ Pipe and fittings
  • At least 2′ of 1/2″ diameter pipe
  • 2 elbows, 1/2″ (slip) x 1/2″ (slip) x 1/2″ (slip)
  • 2 elbows, 1/2″ (slip) x 1/2″ (slip) x 1/2″ (slip)
  • 2 elbows, 1/2″ (slip) x 1/2″ (slip)
  • 1 adapter, 1/2″ (slip) x 1/2″ (threaded, male)
  • PVC primer and glue
  •  
  • GoPro adhesive mount
  • Tools you’ll need:

        You may have mentioned this in the video (I watched it at work), but does the platform take on water or do you cap it off so that it doesn’t fill up with water?

        Love the build and going to make myself. Something I’m going to try is instead of threaded joints going to use slip, use sandpaper to take a little off pipe going in, and drill and use brass bolts (for salt water application) and nuts to make it a little stronger and easier to line up the way I want. Just a thought and once again, excellent tutorial.
