ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Thanks for the how to but it’s not really technically a ‘Bullet Time’ picture. You’re simply panning around! Bullet time is a capture of the same exact fram but shot in multiple angles!
There’s no way you can achieve real ‘bullet time’ with a single camera. You will need multiple cameras.
I think you could get the effect you want much easier by screwing four pieces of slotted angle to the turntable in a diamond pattern like this with the ends overlapping each other for strength. This way, you could set the object you are videoing in the center. You wouldn’t have to hold it. And the angle on the other side is so you can place a counterweight on the end of it so you could spin the turntable faster and smoother. If you really wanted to get a nice shot, attach a large pulley between the turntable and the angle and drive it with an electric motor. You could use a drill or anything that spins. Just a thought.
