DIY Cablecam for GoPro
There are more than few DIY Cablecam rigs floating out there on the internet. We thought we’d take our shot at one. We took a couple features that we liked out there and combined them. The first key feature is the large scooter wheels we used. These things make for a nice smooth camera roll because they’re just more forgiving than other smaller wheel options out there. Second, we used cable wire instead of rope. We noticed a ton of people had trouble getting enough tension in their homemade cablecam lines, especially over long distances. Cable wire doesn’t stretch like rope, so tension becomes less of an issue—plus it’s way cheaper than most rope. If we had to improve this GoPro rig, we’d work on ballast design. That water bottle is a little wobbly and tends to fall off if it hits anything. If you build this cablecam, we’d love to post a quick video of an improved design on this page, so send it our way—cheers!

only problem I had was it told me to buy 3 bolts when we needed 4 but other than that very fast build time just waiting on the wheels because they dont sell those in stores
