Simple builds with few moving parts always work the best and they’re always reliable. DIY Gopro swivel helmet looks well designed and the parts look sturdy too. I mean, there’s no reason why metal parts should not be sturdy. Looks good, I’ll definitely grab one for my next ski trip.

We’re working on an improved designed, David. Stay tuned. The new design won’t have four pointy screws pointing towards your dome!

Making gopro swivel looks cheap and easy, but if you guys are planning to release a new design.. then maybe I should wait a little? I don’t mind the screws pointing towards my dome, the chances of that somehow penetrating my skull is so remotely low. I’ll grab the GoPro seat post mount from Ebay right now if the same accessory will be used for the new design though. Might as well keep it handy until the new design comes out.

Hey Sean, we’re editing up the new tutorial tomorrow. Check out the sample footage we added above. You can start to gather all the parts in this tutorial except the caster. We’ve figured out a better (less dangerous) way to do it. Cheers!

I’m going with the new design too. I don’t see much wrong with the current design, but hell, wait one day and I can get my hands on the improved design. I just gotta be patient lol~ Epic sample video guys, but it’s a little too much tease xD Nice of choice of music too by the way. I’ll be coming back tomorrow for the updated video tutorial. Thanks a ton for all the other tutorial too guys. Peace~!

What if you crash with a bolt sticking through your helmet?

I had an idea of putting the screws upside down so you have a lesser chance of penetrating your skull
