This is freaking genius! It feels like that every time you have a complex problem the solution is so simple. So simple in fact that they make you feel embarrassingly stupid. Oh well, no one knows of my stupidity so I’ll keep things that way. Timelapse egg timer.. xD Who would have thunk it? I surely haven’t.
Thunk isn’t a word, try thought next time
I got this youtube video project that I couldn’t finish yet, because I couldn’t get a timelapse shot long enough, but I have a feeling I might have found the right tool for it. I can’t tell well enough how smooth the transition is based on the clip on the video here, but I guess I’ll just have to figure that out on my own. If I’m able to upload my video by tomorrow, it’s all thanks to you guys.
I’ve got through 6 freaking timers trying to figure out how to put a screw in the middle of the bottom with out messing up the gear… I feel like an idiot after watching this video.
There’s this sunrise in the south of Korea that I’ve always wanted to get. The location is in the middle of the city looking east. I did one a long time ago but the camera was fixed on one focal point and I tried to do a slow pan but it turned out to be a little shaky.
I’m going back this summer with my GoPro and this will be a perfect solution to a shot that I’ve always wanted to get!!
Awesome, and thanks heaps!!
Even easier: Buy an egg timer with a flat top (hint: Chinese-madeStarbucks coffee cup design). Mount camera with either suction-based camera mount or a piece of blu-tac. Off you go.
Of course, with my idea you won’t get the tilt, but you will get the pan.
